Translation: Joseph is the head of his family at 508 9th street. He was born June 1862 and has been married 11 years. He claims to be from Germany now but his obituary claims Austria, so there is a good chance that he is actually from Bohemia. He arrived in 1882 along with his brother and mother. He is a day laborer and owns his house free and clear. He is also literate and can speak English.
